1. Apple Crumble
Try a tasty fruity treat with this recipe for apple crumble! Slice one apple and sprinkle with cinnamon. Mix 1/4 cup of oats and 1/4 cup of brown sugar with a few drops of water. Put a dollop of oat mixture on top of the apples. Microwave for 45 seconds. Viola!
2. Parmesan Pita Crisps
Skip the potato chips and serve your kids a plate of crunchy Parmesan pita crisps. They’re so easy to make! Just sprinkle a few tablespoons of grated Parmesan on a whole wheat pita and broil until the cheese is melted and browned. Cut into bite-sized pieces and enjoy!
3. Watermelon Snack Sticks
Cool down after school with Brooke Burke’s favorite recipe for watermelon sticks. Cube up some watermelon, add a dash of feta cheese and pop it on a stick – it’s perfect for parties, picnics or a fun afternoon snack.
4. Frozen Yogurt Dots
Give your kids a sweet surprise with these yummy frozen yogurt dots. Just scoop some yogurt into a plastic bag with a hole cut into the corner. Gently squeeze a bunch of dollops onto a baking sheet lined with wax paper and freeze. Once they’re frozen, pop them into a bowl and get to nibbling!
