Celebrate Your Mom This Mother’s Day

May 11, 2017 by ModernMom Staff

This post is in partnership with Hallmark.

Mother’s Day has become one of the most important days of the year: You get breakfast in bed, get beautiful cards from your kids, take your mom to lunch – the day is special and it brings with it memories of our moms and childhoods. Especially being moms ourselves now, we realize the deep importance of our mothers, how much they did for us, and how much they mean to us.

While we love the wonderful gifts we receive, what moms truly treasure are words of appreciation and love. Mother’s Day is the perfect day to take the time to celebrate your mom and show your affection and gratitude with a written note. And there is no better way to say it than with a Hallmark Signature card. Hallmark Signature cards are available in the card department wherever Hallmark cards are sold.

On this day we celebrate and honor all of our moms who parent with their own special signature of love. Below are some of the ways we celebrate what makes her her this Mother’s Day.

“The only thing better than having you as my mom is my children having you as their grandmother…”

“You are the glue that holds our family together and the center of our lives.  Thank you for sticking with us through thick and thin.”

“Thanks for always being there for me. You are my pillar. I love you to the moon and back.”

“I could not have asked for a better mom. You taught me how to love and I can’t think of anything more important. I’m so lucky to have you.”

“The most important thing you taught me about and gave me is unconditional love, which I am very grateful for and is probably one of the main reasons why today, I am a good mom.”

“I must have wished upon a lucky star to have ended up with a mom like you. Thank you for being there for my children and me. They love you so much and feel so close to you! I couldn’t do it without you. xo”

“Mom, you have been my best friend for as long as I can remember…”

“You taught me class, respect, courtesy, kindness, selfless mothering and most of all, you taught me to never judge a soul and to be open to listening without prejudice.”

“Thank you for everything you have done and continue to do for our family. You are a true inspiration and the light of our lives! We love you so much!

“Thank you for being the best mom ever and being wise enough to share your wisdom with your children. Happy Mothers Day. We love you.”

“If I could pick any mom in the world, I would always choose you.”

“Thank you for the effortless example of unconditional love and patience.”

“Thank you for teaching me to appreciate the gifts that are sometimes thought of as work… and pass way too fast like bath time for my little people, driving young teens around and listening to them talk as if I am not in the car, sit down dinners and the conversations that just happen.”

“Thank you for the example of being a good friend and sharing how important those friendships are in life.”

“Thank you for setting such a good example for me and showing me how to figure out how to be happy when life was not as simple as you have would liked.”

“Even though you didn’t give birth to me, I want to celebrate you on this day because you chose to love and support me. For that I am forever grateful. Thank you for loving my father and making us both feel special.”

In the words of St. Bernard…

“What we love, we shall grow to resemble.” Happy Mother’s day, enjoy the day because you all deserve it!
