Summer is here! The waters are warm and the sun is shining high and longer then ever allowing for long days filled with fun at your local beach. Everyone loves the beach and it can keep you and your kids entertained for hours! There are a few safety precautions to be aware of before hitting the beach, because it can be a dangerous place for kids.

As parents, we do everything that we possibly can to keep our children safe. Unfortunately, there are times when the most dangerous things can go unnoticed. California has passed a law to help keep families protected from one such danger: carbon monoxide (CO). Effective July 1st, 2011, it is mandatory for all single-family California homes to install CO detectors in their homes. Although it may not be a law in all states, having a CO detector in your home can help you to keep your family safe.
Cecilia Cassini is about to take over the fashion world. And she’s only 11. That’s right, we might have another Coco Chanel or Donna Karen in our midst. This young fashion mogul has had a passion for clothes since she was a baby. She’s been called “brilliant,” “crazy talented” and “a prodigy,” by the media and those in the business. Around 300,000 toasters made by Hamilton Beach were recalled Thursday by the U.S. ConsumerProduct Safety Commission. These classic chrome 2-slice toasters are being recalled due to a broken heating element that can stay on indefinitely, posing a fire hazard if near flammable items.
