Guided Meditation: Saying No

February 21, 2013 by Wendy Irene Leave a Comment

Today’s guided meditation is intended to help you say no with greater ease, and to help you release any feelings of anxiety that come along with saying no. For me personally, saying no is not always easy. Sometimes it is very difficult because I worry about disappointing someone or hurting their feelings. However, saying no is an important part of living a healthy, balanced life and something we all need to do from time to time.

The disease to please is common, but I believe it can be reduced through meditation where you quiet the mind and are better able to follow your intuition. Saying yes for the wrong reasons is damaging to the spirit. Let this meditation help guide you away from the discomfort saying no can trigger.

It may be helpful to watch the video twice, so that the second time you are more relaxed, know what to expect and can close your eyes and let the words soothe and calm you.

Return to this video whenever you feel anxious about saying no, or need to relieve any negative emotions that saying no brings up. Saying no can be a positive thing for our soul, but we need to release the discomfort we sometimes feel.

“A ‘No’ uttered from the deepest conviction is better than a ‘Yes’ merely uttered to please, or worse, to avoid trouble.”   ~ Gandhi
