Celebrity Mom Hilary Duff has used instagram as a way to motivate her fellow moms. Duff posted a selfie in an itsy bitsy teenie weenie black bikini. The actress, who has a son name Luca, addressed all moms with a body-positive caption: “Hey #moms #westillgotit ❤ #loveyourbod”
Since the birth of her son, Duff has been very open with the public about her struggles to lose weight. This down to earth mama has added that she knows that being the “skinniest person” isn’t the way to happiness. Instead, she focuses on sticking to her workout routine and being happier about her successes rather than the weight she hasn’t loss.
“I just tell myself, ‘I’m five foot, two. I’m really fit, killing it in the gym, and doing crazy things,'” she said.
Duff is encouraging other moms to feel the same. “I think if you ask any pregnant mom, they’re like ‘I want my body back,’ but it takes time,” she told Us Weekly. “It takes nine months for your body to get that way and it’s putting on that weight on purpose.”
If you’re a mom struggling to lose weight post baby, then just remember you are definitely not alone. Find a workout plan that works for you – Duff enjoys mixing it up between running, Pilates and swimming. Eat your favorite foods in moderation.
“I feel most healthy when I enjoy small bites of the things I love,” Duff told Health. “I used to feel bad about eating French fries — I’d think that I had blown my diet. But you have to think, That’s OK, I’ll eat healthier tomorrow.”
