Gradually reduce the bad while adding the good. In order to successfully detox, you’ll want to slowly remove the "bad" foods from your diet while you replace them with "good" foods. Switch fatty, sugary, greasy and processed foods with fresh fruits and vegetables. Make the transition last over a period of one to two days until you are eating only the good foods. At this point, the rest of your diet will stay the same, other than the removal of those bad foods.
Stop eating meats and starches. Now you’ll stop eating meats and starches such as heavy breads, potatoes, pasta and other starches. Also, now you will need to replace one of your meals (preferably dinner) with liquids. To create a vitamin-enriched drink, mix 2 tbsp. of lemon juice with 8 oz. of water. Then sprinkle in ? teaspoon of cayenne pepper and 2 tbsp. of honey. Drink this twice a day now, and you should be eating only the raw fruits and vegetables. Drink plenty of water to keep you hydrated between meals.
Replace another meal. Now it’s time to replace another meal with your liquid drink–so you’ll be drinking this four times a day and only eating the raw fruits and veggies for one meal during the day. You will probably start to feel different and may see that you’re feeling tired and sluggish. There is a process your body must go through in order to remove the toxins and chemicals from your body, so this is normal. Continue drinking water between meals.
Remove the last meal. Now you should be able to remove the last meal so that you’re on liquids only. If you want to use vitamin supplements to ensure that you’re getting all necessary nutrients, you can. You should be drinking the lemon liquid mix between six and eight times a day. Regular water can be consumed between 5 and 10 times a day in between. Stay on this diet for the next three days, and then reverse the process; gradually begin to bring food back into the picture.
Stick to the plan. The best idea is to stay away from the processed foods and starches, sugars and fats that are bad for you. You will probably notice weight loss, an increased energy level, an elevated mood, a feeling of well being and other positive results.
