Celebrity Parents Are Just Like Us
[nextpage title=”Next” ]
I am an unapologetic celebrity lover. I could give you a basic rundown of every season of The Kardashians and would win every single pop cultural trivia game but could only name you 10 Presidents and then it probably wouldn’t even be in order.
Priorities people.
US Weekly is like my Bible and TMZ is my CNN. Why I’m drawn to all things celebrity so much I don’t really know but it’s pretty much my jam. There isn’t a lot that bridges the gap between celebrities and mere mortals. But the one thing that is the same no matter how good your wardrobe or how stacked your bank account is parenthood. It’s the great equalizer.
1. Cry At School Drop Off
Brooklyn Decker took her almost two-year-old son Hank to daycare for the first time a few weeks ago. And like most of us, was slammed with a rush of emotions when her son headed into his first day. And to add insult to injury Hank didn’t even turn around to give his emotional Mom one last lingering look or wave goodbye.

2. Fall Asleep Practically Anywhere
There are three things that every mother, celebrity or not, can agree are the most precious times we get as parents. No, it’s not when our kids first learn to say I love you or when they make you a big glue and glitter mess for Christmas. It’s when we get to pee without an audience, go to a store by ourselves and sleep. Jessica Biel knows how precious sleep is and knows that any place and anytime can be nap time.
3. Struggle With Breastfeeding
Breastfeeding isn’t always easy and doesn’t always feel good. And no one knows this more than a new mother with engorged breast, sensitive nipples and a newborn with a tongue tie and a bad latch. Whitney Port is a new mom and shared her sentiments about breastfeeding in her YouTube series. Basically, she hates it. And that’s ok.

4. Find Clever Ways To “Hack” Parenting
Life hacking is the hip new thing that you can do with almost anything. Hacking can save you time, money and as a parent, your sanity. Kristen Bell is one of those hands on celeb parents that is always sharing new and clever ways to make our job just a tiny bit easier.
5. Get Stuck Doing Ridiculous Things For Their Children
If you have children, you can pretty much guarantee that most of your time is going to be spent doing and/or watching some of the most annoying things. Anyone have a kid into Minecraft? How many “cities” have you had to watch being built? Even Jessica Simpson doesn’t pay someone to use every single breath she has to blow up the largest beach ball known to man.

6. Don’t Care What Their Kids Are Doing As Long As They Aren’t Breaking Something
There are times as a parent that you have to just tap out and let things just go. Like Kelly Clarkson. As long as my children aren’t breaking something or bleeding I’ll happily let them pull every single pillow out we have to make a pool or unroll a spool of yarn just so I can have a minute to myself.
7. They Spend Hours Putting Legos Together
I don’t know who invented Legos (actually I probably should know since my son has told me about him no less than 50 billion times) but I want to find him and shake him. Legos are expensive, dangerous when not wearing shoes, and so very time consuming. David Beckham knows what I’m talking about. He took on the Disney Castle for his daughter Harper which not only has a $350 price tag it also has FOUR THOUSAND PIECES. Gosh I hope my daughter never sees this thing.
