Actor Eric Dane knew that becoming a father would change his life, but he didn’t realize it would entirely change the way he looks at his wife, Rebecca Gayheart!
“I don’t know if there’s any change more significant that a human being can make than that of a woman becoming a mother. There’s no change more dramatic,” said the Grey’s Anatomy star, 38.
“You know, I’m a hundred times more attracted to her now and I love her exponentially more than I did before. It’s just great to see her be a mother.”
Well that’s precious! Also extremely adorable is how much Dane loves going on father-daughter dates with Billie Beatrice, who’s now 14 months old.
“I like watching her laugh,” he explained. “Seeing this kid laugh when you put her on the swing, or slide down the slide with her, it’s just … She owns me.”
It sounds like Billie is a daddy’s girl at heart. But she can’t help it–the "unconditional love" she gives her Pops, even if she "doesn’t know any better", is the most amazing part of fatherhood, according to Dane.
And Dad isn’t the only one who fell in love with this little girl at first sight. The family’s chihuahua, Nellie, is also quite fond of her! “The second we brought Billie home she elected herself the Buckingham Palace guard,” Dane laughed. “When Rebecca was feeding Billie, she would sit under Rebecca’s feet. Any time anyone got near Billie, even if it was me, the dog would just start barking.”
It seems like Dane is the natural father-type. There’s nothing sexier than a man in love with his girls. 🙂
