Vanessa Lachey (née Minnillo) shared some big news with the world on Wednesday, using her website banner to announce the sex of her baby!
“It’s a BOY! Nick and I are incredibly excited to share the news that we are expecting a baby boy,” she wrote. “We can’t wait to meet him soon!!!!”
The 31-year-old “Wipeout” hostess is expecting her first child with her husband, former 98 Degrees singer Nick Lachey. Back in March, she tweeted back to a fan, “I’m excited either way! But I always wanted a boy 1st.”
It looks like she is getting her wish!
Nick, 38, first announced the couple’s pregnancy while co-hosting on Live! with Kelly in March. “I’ve had a chance to do a lot of great things in my career and my life but this is the one thing that, more than any other, I look forward to,” he said. “The fact that it’s actually here, it’s overwhelming.”
As for the baby’s name – E! Online reported that the couple had two boy names to decide between, although neither has been released. We’ll just have to wait and see what they go with.
Something else to watch and wait for is the reunion of 98 Degrees. According to the LA Times, the boy band that broke up in 2002 will be getting together for a show on August 18 as part of the Summer Mixtape Festival in Hershey, Pennsylvania. During an interview with Ryan Seacrest, anxious dad emphasized that the reunion would be the group’s “one and only appearance.” Excited?
