Nintendo Still Has The Coolest Gaming Systems Around

This post is a paid partnership with Nintendo but all opinions are my own.

There comes a time in every parent’s life where they have to admit that their kids are more technically advanced than they are. I have reached that point and hate to admit it, I won’t lie. My kids are much more informed on the latest and coolest devices out there! They know what their friends are playing with and they instantly know how to make something work for them. That is how I know that Nintendo still has the coolest gaming systems for my girls. Having recently received a New Nintendo 2DS XL system, the turquoise and black one (you can also get it in purple/silver), I see how much the kids love to play on it and how they interact with each other as they play! They like it so much that they even had fun teaching me how to use it. I’m such a cooler mom now that I can play. 🙂

What parents do understand is that gaming systems and the games that go with them can be very expensive. Luckily, Nintendo 2DS is part of the Nintendo 3DS family of systems that offer games at a variety of price points, starting with the Nintendo 2DS bundle with the New Super Mario Bros. 2 game preloaded at a MSRP of $79.99. And a MSRP of $149.99 for the New Nintendo 2DS XL bundle with the Mario Kart 7 game preloaded, making it easy to find something that fits your family’s budget.

What is a bundle you ask? It is a Nintendo gaming system with a game already included! The New Nintendo 2DS XL bundle comes in three fun color combos and includes Mario Kart 7 already installed. The Nintendo 2DS bundle comes in either a red and white or blue and black color combo and comes pre-loaded with New Super Mario Bros. 2! The Nintendo 2DS system is great for younger gamers, while the New Nintendo 2DS XL system has a bigger screen and clam-shell design, perfect for kids who want to level up their gaming experience.

We have had a lot of fun with our New Nintendo 2DS XL system and Nintendo Selects titles – classic Nintendo titles at just $19.99 MSRP each – including The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D. Between those and the other Nintendo Selects games Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Super Mario 3D Land, we all have something we love to play. The Nintendo 3DS family of portable systems has games and fun features for every member of the family—whether you’re a longtime gamer or buying a system for a first-time player, like me!

Sarah, my middle daughter really loves Super Mario 3D Land! She says it is, ‘So fun MOM!’ She likes that the challenge is to hold onto your lives by running through courses. Sarah gets so excited when she gets to the end of the level to grab the ‘Goal Pole’. We are not terribly deep into the levels, as she is still learning all of the cool things she can do, but she LOVES the boss battles section. This is a game that will be a hit for a long time to come as she adventures with Mario!

Megan likes Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS because, ‘I can battle against the characters and not my sisters!’ The objective of this fighting game is to knock your opponent out of the boundaries. She says that each popular Nintendo character has their own powers, and she likes to see the different things they can do! She also enjoys the good selection of female characters!

With the holidays coming up, it may be time for us parents to start listening to our kids on what the ‘cool’ devices are! Nintendo and its gaming systems and reasonably priced bundles will definitely be on the list!
