Disney’s Planes: Fire & Rescue brings back spunky Dusty Crophopper (voice of Dane Cook) while he’s still glowing in the aftermath of his big racing win. After he finds out his engine is damaged and he may never race again, he trains to be an aerial firefighter and learns lessons along the way. While kids will love this movie, adults will find themselves smiling and chuckling to the pop-culture references (love the cameo by Erik Estrada) and Julie Bowen as a love struck plane is a scene stealer.
Kids (and adults) get exposure to the daring and brave smokejumpers and forest service workers who put their own lives at risk everyday. Dusty and veteran fire and rescue vehicles battle a huge wildfire while learning what makes a true hero.
We were lucky enough to attend the premiere which was AH-MAZING. The star-studded event on Hollywood Blvd outside the El Capitan Theatre paid tribute to firefighters. Country singer Brad Paisley (featured in the movie), and cast members along with Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios’ chief creative officer John Lasseter, thanked firefighters and presented a $25,000 grant to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
This is a fun family film that you and your kids will love.
