While we have mixed feelings about the kids going back to school, we are sure about one thing – our love for new school products and supplies! Here are just some of our faves!
Backpacks
Velocity backpack from Speck – this lightweight backpack is designed to carry (and protect) most 15-inch laptops with a padded sleeve. There is plenty of space for other items too plus quick-access pockets to stash your phone, battery pack or other necessities.
Carhartt has a fabulous durable repellent backpack that’s full of zippered pockets and organizational spots. We love the side mesh water bottle pocket and the Pink/Blue Heart style 🙂
Love this Steven Universe Cheeseburger backpack! It features tomato, cheese and buns that all unzip to reveal separate pockets! What?!
Lunch Items
Jansport is a brand we love and now they have a new lunch bag. It’s a great size (not too big, not too small) with a roll top closure and insulation to keep their food and drink cold (or warm). Comes in great designs but sometimes for teen boys, black is the perfect option.
PACKiT Freezable traveler lunch bags are stylish and can fit a container, snack and a 12 oz drink. The best part is you throw it in the freezer the night before and then it keeps lunch cold without having to pack ice or gel packs.
Hydro Flask food flask is a must-have to spice up lunchtime. Instead of only sending sandwiches, why not give your child left-over pasta, rice and beans, or soup? Heat up the food in the morning and put it in the container and walah – hot lunch!
Water Bottles
We’ve always been fans of metal water bottles (no worry about BPA) and love these S’ip by S’well bottles sold at Target that are smaller and come with a lower price tag than other bottles. Your kids will have a tough time picking which one they want because they have a ton of awesome designs. This water bottle will be a hit at the cafeteria.
Binders are a must and Staples has this super cool 5-star flex 5 subject notebook that has special rings that open easily and won’t break or misalign (that used to drive me CRAZY).
Since most kids can’t use their electronics in class, a paper weekly/monthly planner is a necessity. We love these brightly colored 2016/2017 At-A-Glance color play academic planners.
Fun Stuff
Everyone loves Post-it notes, but you are going to want this camera dispenser for sure. SO fantastic. And you’ll feel really old when your kids say “That’s a camera?!?” lol.
I still remember the notes my mom would occasionally slip into my lunch when I was a little one. Napkids is a new product that combines a note and a napkin! So you can leave your child a sweet note while also supplying a napkin! Win.Win.
Pencil cases. So many choices, but you can’t go wrong with an ice cream cone pencil pouch. Love this and your kids will too. You also should grab a matching 2-pocket paper folder too. SWEET!
