After five years of marriage, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are splitting up.
“This is a personal and private matter for Katie and her family,” Holmes’s attorney Jonathan Wolfe told People. “Katie’s primary concern remains, as it always has been, her daughter’s best interest.”
The couple tied the knot back in 2006 at at the 15th-century Odescalchi Castle in Bracciano, Italy.
It was the first marriage for 33-year-old Holmes and the third for Cruise, 49, who was previously hitched to Nicole Kidman and Mimi Rogers.
They have one child together – their six-year-old daughter Suri. Cruise also has two adopted children – Isabella and Conor – with Kidman.
