DIY Farmhouse Wine Glasses & Apple Cider Cocktail Recipe

November 4, 2013 by Wendy Irene Leave a Comment

Today, I have such a fun treat for you! I’m going to teach you how to make DIY Farmhouse wine glasses. They could not be easier to make, no seriously SO simple! They also make great handmade gifts. Fill them with candy, a sweet note, or serve a cocktail in them at your holiday party for your guests to take home. You might already know that I’m a total Mason jar dork. I think they’re so beautiful! I also love all things related to farmhouses and barns, which is how I came up with the name. Guess it’s a good thing I live in Idaho ;-). I recently hung up an old photo of my great, great Grandparents farmhouse. Although I’ve never met them I definitely feel they watch out for our family, so I’m dedicating this one to them.

Watch the video to find out how you can make your own beautiful Farmhouse wine glasses. They cost very little to make and are not time consuming, but the end result is so purdy.

Farmhouse Wine Glass Video Tutorial:

*Tip – It’s very important that you use really strong glue that works well for glass otherwise the jar will come detached. Don’t get any glue on your fingers!

Now that you know the secret formula for making gorgeous Farmhouse wine glasses, here is a delicious fall cocktail recipe perfect for serving in your new glass. This is yummy; I’ve already made it a couple of times this season.

Apple Cider Cocktail

Yields: 4-5 drinks

Ingredients

  • 4 cups apple cider
  • ¾ cup dark rum
  • 2 Tbsp. hot cinnamon schnapps

Directions

Mix all ingredients together and pour over ice.

Thanks for joining me today, friends. Have so much fun celebrating the season!!

Cheers!

With love, gratitude, and big farmhouse hugs,
Wendy Irene
