Celebrate National Margarita Day with a Skinny Margarita

Today is National Margarita Day! Can anyone say “girl’s night”?

If you’re watching your waistline (and who isn’t these days?) then try celeb mom Bethenny Frankel’s recipe for a Skinnygirl™ Margarita:

* 2 oz of Clear Premium Tequila
* Tiny splash of Orange Liquor
* Juice of 4 Fresh Lime Wedges

To serve on the rocks, combine all ingredients over a glass of ice and garnish with a lime wedge.

This drink is delicious and will only put you back 100 calories!

Some Margarita History (foodnetwork.com):

The drink was named after a lady named Margarita and Margarita Sames invented the original drink in 1948. According to legend it was during a party at her Cliffside hacienda in Acapulco that she began experimenting with the drink. Looking for something new she mixed Tequila Herradura, Cointreau and fresh limejuice.

Tonight: mix up your favorite ingredients and enjoy a drink!
