‘The Good Dinosaur’ – Prehistoric Pixar

The Good Dinosaur takes us into a world where dinosaurs evolve and co-exist with humans. Yep, this is what would happen if the asteroid missed earth and dinosaurs never became extinct.

Disney/Pixar does a seriously incredible job of creating a visually gorgeous computer-animated world that looks so real you feel like you can reach out and touch the rocks and waterfalls.

The story revolves around a family of Apatosauruses who farm (remember, they have evolved) and the runt of the litter, Arlo, a timid little dinosaur is thrust into an adventure after his dad is killed. Arlo ends up creating an incredible bond with a wild boy (cub) and learning to conquer his fears in the process. The human cub who Arlo appropriately names Spot, steals the show.

The scenery is breathtaking and the music is a mix of genres including country. Definitely bring a tissue because this movie will get to you (in a good way). This is a wonderful film with pro-social messages about family, friendship and growing up. And who doesn’t love a good dinosaur movie?!

Definitely a must-see for the family!

The Good Dinosaur opens in theaters Nov.25, 2015.
