Celebrity Hair Cuts & Styles

If you are in the market for a new haircut or style, you may want to look at your favorite celebrity for inspiration. Celebrity hairstyles, like the Rachel, have inspired entire generations of males and females. With their access to top-of-the-line stylists, celebrities have the ability to start hair trends, some of which last for decades.

The Rachel

Jennifer Aniston popularized the Rachel haircut and style in 1995 during the second season of “Friends.” The short, bouncy shag features angled layers ranging from shoulder to chin length and soft highlights. While Jennifer Aniston brought attention to the look, it was LA-based hairstylist Chris McMillian’s creation.

The Farrah

When Farrah Fawcett stepped into the role of Jill Munroe on “Charlie’s Angels,” the blonde bombshell started a hairstyle trend now considered one of the great classics by resources like The Hair Styler. Millions of women started wearing their hair like Farrah. In 2010, several celebrities revived the look, including Miley Cyrus, Kim Kardashian and Beyonce. The style looks great with straight, wavy or curly hair.

Ballerina Bun

According to Beauty Riot, the ballerina bun is another celebrity hairstyle that turns heads. The style mimics the clean, classical bun ballerinas use to keep their hair out of their faces as they dance. Celebrities who have showcased the look include Elizabeth Banks, Kristen Bell, Jessica Alba and Nicole Richie.

The Bob

The bob is another classic trend celebrities that often give a new spin. The basis for the hair cut is a short style framing the face. Over the years, celebrities have recreated their own version of the style from the classic A-line bob on Jenny McCarthy to the Beckham bob made famous by Victoria Beckham. The Beckham bob utilizes different lengths of hair. It allows the person wearing the style to change the look by parting her hair in a different way. Victoria Beckham wears the style without bangs. Katie Holmes popularized a softer bob by using swept bangs and an alignment closer to her face.

Tousled Hair

Male celebrity hairstyles can be just as popular as female hairstyles. Tousled hair attempts to give guys a just-got-out-of-bed look. Ben Affleck typically sports tousled hair, according to Hollywood Hair Styling Studio. Rob Pattinson popularized a longer version with his role as Edward Cullen in the Twilight Saga.
