Exercises for Better Sex

To have the best sex possible, your body needs to be in the right condition. Exercise can help you lose fat, but it can also make you stronger and more flexible–both things that you need for trying different positions and lasting longer. Choose exercises that can specifically help you improve your sex life.

Kegels

Kegel exercises, or “kegels” help you to improve the pelvic floor muscles. They can improve incontinence and intensify orgasm. To find the muscle that you need to exercise, stop the flow of urine the next time you’re on the toilet. Then, when you want to exercise the muscle, squeeze it for 10 seconds at a time, repeating at least 10 times a day. Both men and women can improve their sex lives by doing these exercises.

Push Ups

Push ups help you to improve your upper body strength, which you may need to support your body when you are on top. This can also help women support themselves in some rear-entry positions.

Cardiovascular Exercise

Doing any type of cardiovascular exercise–aerobics, walking, running or bicycling, for example–will help you to improve your stamina so that you can have sex for longer periods of time. It can also help you reduce fat, which could be both physically and mentally inhibiting your sex drive.

Lower Body Exercises

Lower body exercises give you a stronger pelvis, which can improve sexual pleasure. Squats and lunges can help you improve your muscles, as can pelvic tilts–lie on the floor with your feet on the ground and tilt your pelvis up and down. Additionally, these types of moves increase blood flow to the genital region, which can increase your sex drive.

Belly Dancing

Belly dancing is very sensual, and you don’t have to have a perfect body to do it. When you take a belly dancing class, you can see women of all sizes dancing in a sexy way, which can improve your self-image. Knowing these moves can also give you something to do as a special treat for your partner.

Yoga

Yoga strengthens muscles and improves flexibility. Choose poses that open the pelvic area, such as the Warrior position or the Pigeon position. Lying on the floor with your legs up the wall is a yoga position that moves the blood from your legs to your upper body, which can make you feel more energized and ready for sex. Try doing some yoga moves with your partner as a form of foreplay.
