How to Make a Moisturizing Hair Mask Treatment for Dry Hair

This moisturizing hair mask for dry hair takes advantage of mayonaisse which helps to moisturize the hair because of it’s oil content, and the protein in eggs that help to strengthen hair. The avocado helps to moisturize dry hair as well, with its natural oil, and also helps to clean the hair gently removing any dirt or product build up. I suggest using this moisturizing hair mask for dry hair once every 1-2 weeks.

Step 1

Cut the avocado in half, removing the pit. Scoop the avocado flesh into a small mixing bowl, and mash with a potato masher or wooden spoon. If you prefer, you could process it in a blender or food processor.

Step 2

Pour the mayonnaise into the bowl, and gently fold the mayonnaise and avocado together.

Step 3

Massage the mixture into your dry hair and scalp. Pile your hair loosely into a pile, or put on a shower cap.

Step 4

Wait 20 minutes, then rinse the mixture out with cool water. If you shampoo afterwards, be sure to use a gentle shampoo. I suggest waiting til the following day to shampoo for the best results.
