Princess fans everywhere will be thrilled to learn that one of the most beloved Classic Disney films has finally come out of the vault. The Diamond Edition of Cinderella has been re-released on Blu-Ray Combo Pack and Disney HD Digital starting October 2nd.
Originally released in 1950, the film has won the hearts of children and grown-ups around the world and now the tale gets an amazing visual update (as well as a packed collection of bonus material).
After the death of her father, Cinderella’s stepmother makes her earn her keep by cleaning the house, tending the chickens, and doing other household chores. But even though her life is hard, Cinderella smiles cheerfully and sings about holding onto her dreams.
When her fairy godmother appears and grants her wish of attending the royal ball, it seems like those dreams are finally coming true – although there are a few bumps on her road to happily ever after.
The moral of the story: the best way to find happiness is to work hard, stay positive and make the best of difficult circumstances.
