Admission [Film]

Two of our favorite comedians – Tina Fey and Paul Rudd – have teamed up to star in the new film Admission, which hits theaters on March 22.

The movie is a clever comedy-drama about Princeton admissions officer Portia Nathan (Fey) and the head of an alternative school (Rudd) who believes his star student might have Ivy League potential – as well as the potential to be the son Portia gave up for adoption years before.

Stunned by this development, she finds herself ending the rules to help her newfound son beat the system, and of course discovers a romantic connection with Rudd’s character along the way.

The film is a clever and bitingly funny look at the world of pushy parents, ambitious students and the high-stakes world of college admissions.

By far, the highlight is watching the tables turn, as Portia transforms into one of the desperate parents she so often encounters across the desk.

But while she may get a little crazy, her behavior is a sweet reminder that we could all use someone a little crazy in our corner.
