General Motors is recalling Chevrolet Cruze models built at its Lordstown, Ohio plant to check for possible steering and transmission defects. The automaker says the recall involves 154,122 2011-year models.
Chevy Cruze Recalled for Steering Wheel Problem
General Motors is recalling certain 2011 models of their Chevrolet Cruze following a startling incident last month in which a steering wheel detached from the steering column while the car was moving. The driver was not hurt, and GM believes it was an isolated incident. GM says Cruze owners can take their vehicles to a dealer for a free safety inspection to make sure the steering wheel is properly fastened.
GM Recalls 100,000 SUVs for Faulty Seatbelts
General Motors is recalling about 100,000 of its new 2011 model year crossover SUVs because the front seatbelts could come loose in a crash. The models involved in the recall are the Chevrolet Equinox, GMC Terrain and Cadillac SRX compact crossover SUVs.
