Nearly 2 Million Philips Light Bulbs Recalled
1.86 million Philips light bulbs have been recalled because of a defect that can cause the outer glass to fall. The three types of EnergySaver and Marathon bulbs are compact flourescent bulbs usually used in recessed lighting. The company voluntary recalled the lightbulbs after receiving reports of the glass globe falling after the adhesive that attaches it to the body of bulb fails. The defect has caused two reported injuries and three incidents of property damage.
