Did you know that September 12th is National Chocolate Milkshake Day? It’s true -it’s the day of the year officially dedicated to indulging your sweet tooth. Although the concept of milkshakes have been around since 1885 (back then, the recipe called for a shot of whiskey!), the modern incarnation was invented by a Walgreen’s employee in Chicago in 1922. According to CNN, this brilliant inventor “added two scoops of ice cream to a drink called a malted milk.” And, thus, history was made.
