Kate Gosselin Fired from CouponCabin

It looks like Kate Gosselin is back on the hunt for a new job.

After leaving the TLC spotlight (when they canceled her family’s reality show “Jon and Kate Plus 8” – later titled “Kate Plus 8), Kate was welcomed as a blogger for CouponCabin.com.

But unfortunately, after just 11 months, the mom of eight seems to have gotten her pink slip there as well.

The money-saving website’s CEO, Scott Kluth, issued a public blog statement as to the company’s decision:

“A series of recent events have made it clear to me that Kate Gosselin and her contributions do not align with the authenticity which we set out to build almost a decade ago. Ms. Gosselin is simply not a good fit with the wonderful team and culture at CouponCabin.”

Based on the hundreds of comments the open letter received, many of the site’s readers weren’t exactly sorry to see her go.

Ktap773 said, “Finally! Her useless tips and self-adulation were annoying and promoted nothing.  Sorry you wasted a year of your time and money on this fraud.”

Mrs. Clean commented, “Thank you for Swiffering that woman’s blog from your site.  It belongs in a Rubbermaid trash bin.”

In some sense, they may have a point… some of Gosselin’s groundbreaking tips included:

– Saving money by purchasing store brands instead of name brands.

– Watching a movie on DVD instead of going to the movie theater.

– Making coffee instead of buying Starbucks.

Gosselin herself seemed upbeat and positive despite the news. She jumped onto Twitter to write that she remains “super busy.”

“Good afternoon! I’m alive! I’ve been super busy working away! I’m having lots of fun and can’t wait to share! No worries..we will chat soon! XO.”
