Last season, her “Hart of Dixie” character had a pregnancy false alarm – but in real life, Jaime King is going to be a mom!
The 34-year-old actress is expecting her first child with husband Kyle Newman, her rep confirmed to PEOPLE.
King, who plays Lemon Breeland on the CW hit, started her career as a model before appearing in Pearl Harbor, Sin City and Bulletproof Monk.
She and Newman, 37, have been married since 2007.

1. According to a 2007 interview, she was named after Lindsay Wagner’s character Jaime Sommers (better known as The Bionic Woman). But when she first started modeling, she went by “James” – a nickname given to her as a child by her parents.

3. Her first modeling jobs was a campaign for Abercrombie & Fitch.
4. Good looks run in the family – her mother Nancy was a former beauty queen.
5. She has several tattoos including one of a fairy on her lower back.
