Challenge: What Can You Use A Juice Lid For

Ok, I know it might sound strange, but if you really want to be frugal and still have fun with your kids, one great idea is to give them a common object in your home and see what they can make with it.  With the summer time “I’m Bored” saying going around, this is a great way to keep them busy and not spend any money.

So our challenge today is “What can you make with a juice lid”, you know the silver ones that are on cans of juice concentrate.  Here is what we came up with:

Medals – Glue a ribbon to tie around a person’s neck.  To make them look more official add gold seal stickers, colored stars and a name wth small letter stickers.

Stacking Toy for Toddlers – Give a stack to a toddler.  Allow them to roll and toss them.  The cheapest toy ever!

Noisemaker – Nail 2 or 3 lids to a stick of wood, loose enough so that the lids rattle.  Put cotton balls in ears and let the kids play,

Reflectors – Use to mark your mailbox or the end of the driveway where there is no streetlight.

The Flower Aid Pot – Punch holes and put one in the bottom of a floewr pot to keep pebbles in.  As it rusts the iron nourishes the plant.

Wind Chimes – Hang lids from a line close enough to the each other to hit each other.  I will let you get creative with this one.

Suits of Armor – Poke holes near the edges and tie together.  Start saving now for Halloween.

OK, your turn.  What can you do with a juice lid?
