Celebrity Long Layered Hairstyles

Long, layered hairstyles look good on almost everyone. In the early 21st century, the long, layered haircut proved to be popular among celebrities, and many women across the United States went to their hairstylists, requesting similar cuts. The layered look works for women with super straight hair as well as for women with curly or wavy hair. The length of the layers can vary to flatter nearly any face shape.

Jennifer Aniston’s Long Layers

Actress Jennifer Aniston’s most famous hairstyle may be the “Rachel,” the short, layered cut she wore playing Rachel Green in early seasons of the sitcom “Friends.” As her career has gone on, though, Aniston has traded her short, shaggy cut for a sleek and refined longer style. In the early 21st century, Aniston’s hair was cut in long layers, starting just below her chin and becoming longer in the back. Because of the angle of her jawline, Aniston’s one of few people who can pull off wearing her long, straight hair parted in the middle. She also looks good with her hair flat ironed completely straight or with gentle waves in her hair.

Julia Robert’s Carefree Waves

If you have curly hair, you may want to try growing it out and then cutting it into long, flowing layers, especially in the summer, when the humidity is high. In 2010, actress Julia Roberts wore her curls in a long, layered wavy cut that looked relaxed and pulled together at the same time. The length of her hair helped to keep her curls under control, since the heavier weight pulls the curls down and prevents her hair from poufing out or frizzing.

Reese Witherspoon’s Layers and Bangs

Around 2010, actress Reese Witherspoon, known for her roles in “Legally Blonde” and other romantic comedies, wore her blond hair in long layers with a long, wispy bangs in the front. The layers framed her face while the bangs drew attention to her blue eyes and strong chin. The bangs also gave her style flexibility, since they were long enough to sweep to the side of her face or to wear across her forehead.
