Beyond Desperation

If you follow me on Twitter, you’ll know that the past few nights have been really difficult for me. My daughter has been having a difficult time sleeping and I haven’t really been able to narrow down what’s causing this… until last night.


Hayden’s been waiting up between 1:30 and 2:00 AM like clock work the past five nights in a row. I don’t know if it’s becoming habit for her, but every night she wakes up crying hysterically begging me to take her down stairs. Now, when I say “hysterical”, I mean corcodile tears, grabbing at me, climbing on me, pulling me as close to her as possible. This can’t be normal! I’ve tried laying down with her in bed until she falls asleep, but she won’t even enter the room. As soon as we walk up the stairs and get to the door the room, she starts throwing a fit.
