Extreme Tiredness During Pregnancy

This is hard work on the part of the expectant mother’s body, which, along with the hormones, contributes to the extreme tiredness. Luckily, fatigue usually diminishes during the second trimester. Keep in mind that there are other causes of extreme tiredness during pregnancy that may signify an underlying problem. Anemia, or low iron levels in the blood, can leave an expectant mother drained of energy, according to the March of Dimes website. If you have dizzy spells, are often short of breath, or feel weak, have your iron levels checked. You may need to take an iron supplement for the duration of your pregnancy.
