Wal-Marts Recalls 174,000 Dolls That Can Burn

Watch out for the “My Sweet Love/My Sweet Baby Cuddle Care” doll – she babbles, she coughs… she burns?!?

Wal-Mart has recalled 174,000 of the dolls because the toy can cause burns. According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, the problem stems from a circuit board in the doll’s chest that can overheat, causing the surface of the toy to get hot and burn someone.

So far, the company has received 12 reports related to the doll, including two reports that the doll caused burns or blisters to the user’s thumb.
The battery-operated dolls have been sold exclusively at Wal-Mart stores since August 2012 for about $20.
Consumers should stop using the product, remove the batteries and return them to any Walmart store for a refund.
