In the next couple of weeks, I’ll be featuring some of the sexiest guys on summer TV. Which TV stars are putting a sizzle in your summer?

This week, I caught up with America’s favorite – and hottest – baker, Buddy Valastro, who is back on TLC this summer for the third season of Cake Boss. If you’re not familiar, the series takes viewers behind the scenes at the bustling Hoboken, New Jersey-based Carlo’s Bakery (which just celebrated its 100th anniversary) where Buddy and his team make some of the most amazing cakes you’ve ever seen.

For fans, remember that episode where Buddy made the cake for his wife’s 30th birthday party? No wonder women are swooning over Buddy and his cakes!

TLC promises that this season of Cake Boss is full of more mouth-watering desserts and fun Valastro family moments, including a trip to Italy.

Buddy chatted with me about his kids, his cakes and how he gives his wife the “me” time she deserves.

Pop Culture Mama: How many kids do you have and what ages?

Buddy: Sofia is 7, Buddy is 5 and Marco is 3.

Pop Culture Mama: How did you spend Father’s Day?

Buddy: We had a nice BBQ with the family.

Pop Culture Mama: What’s your favorite thing to do with your kids?

Buddy: Play – and, of course, we bake together!

Pop Culture Mama: You’re at the bakery a lot and your wife is with the kids. What do you do with the kids so your wife can have some “me” time?

Buddy: Every once in a while, I’ll take all the kids and we’ll go do something fun so she can go have a mini spa day.

Pop Culture Mama: Do you all eat dinner together?

Buddy: At least once a week, we all get together and sit down for a family dinner – we try to do it every night but sometimes filming runs late and the kids have to eat!

Pop Culture Mama: Do you cook? What are your favorite things to cook for your family?

Buddy: I love to cook! I make various types of pasta and a beautiful stuffed veal chop.

Pop Culture Mama: What’s your favorite part of being a dad?

Buddy: Every morning my kids come into my bed and lay in my arms for 30 minutes before I start my day – it’s the most peaceful part of my day.

Pop Culture Mama: What’s your favorite cake?

Buddy: My father’s cream puff cake.

Pop Culture Mama: What’s your kids’ favorite cake?

Buddy: Anything chocolate!

Pop Culture Mama: What’s been your favorite episode of Cake Boss?

Buddy: The Disney Episode and My wife’s 30th birthday episode.

Pop Culture Mama: What’s the best advice your father gave you?

Buddy: Always give back and always help people who ask – because one day it could be you.
