Summertime calls for bright, cheery colors, butmany of the seasons best clothes are neutrals. So, in order to combine both the neutral andbright trends, I created a neutral outfit and used accessories to add two vibrant pops of color. This may pose a challenge to mothers of children under 5 everywhere, but one of the biggest fashion trends for Spring and Summer 2011 is white. That’s right, I’m telling you that the new black is…the exact opposite of black.
The 70s are back in a big way, and high-waisted jeans are very of-the-moment. This retro, wide-leg cut can be both figure flattering and elongating. (So feel free to stash away any muffin top-producing low rise denim for awhile.)
Let’s face it, being a mom limits your shoe selection. Unfortunately, it’s just not that practical to hit the playground in platforms. Pretty cascading hemlines are a big trend right now and will continue to be for the next couple of seasons, so dont be afraid to invest in this silhouette now.
