Former American Idol contestant Clay Aiken has welcomed a son on Friday with his longtime friend and producer, Jaymes Foster. Clay announced the arrival on his website, writing “HE’S HERE! My dear friend, Jaymes, and I are so excited to announce the birth of Parker Foster Aiken (No hyphens. One first name. One middle name. One last name.) Parker was born at a hospital in North Carolina just this morning at 8:08 AM. Wow… 8:08 ..08/08/08.”

Little Williams middle name has a special significance for his grandpa–Xavier was Regis’ confirmation name. Regis announced the news yesterday morning on his show, Live with Regis and Kelly, noting that William has strawberry red hair. Regis daughter and her husband Michael are both television writers.
