Spring Beauty Trends

March 6, 2012 by Cyvia Lewis Leave a Comment

Pastels are making a big splash this spring!

The ocean-inspired colors look amazing on all skin tones— from eyelids to nail polish on your toes. Here are a few of my favs:

Face

Stila’s HD Beauty Balm my new BFF!!!  Its HD formula helps reduces pore size, provides oil control, hides imperfections, and stays on all day.

Eyes

Smudge sticks, ink eyeliners or markers are hot.

Stila Smudge Crayon is a 3 in 1 multi-tasking gem – gel based primer, shadow and liner, plus it’s waterproof!

I also love the Smashbox “Be Discovered” eye shadow palette:

And Bobbi Brown’s neutral eye palette is a great choice.

Lips

Splash in some coral or hot pink. Neon!

Think neutral faces, vibrant lips.

CoverGirl LipPerfection in a bright gorgeous color is a great accessory!

Cheeks

Pop with color. Go for the pinky pinched look, on the apples – bright and fresh.

Nails

Make waves with cool aqua shades like lavenders and minty greens.

What are your favorite beauty trends this spring?

About Cyvia Lewis

I am a proud mommy of 3 and professional/celebrity makeup artist. I genuinely understand the demands of motherhood, chaotic schedules, lack of "me time" and constant fatigue.
Currently employed by the NFL Network, where I do makeup and hair for on-air talent for both men and women. I love blogging, tweeting (@makeupbycyvia) makeup tips, and video how to instruction.
Makeup has been my craft and passion for over 20 years, it empowers me, fulfills me and makes me happy. I received training at an accredited makeup artist school, to enhance facial features, conceal imperfections and educate clients on makeup application. I thrive on sharing my knowledge and creativity...beauty is everywhere.
