Honda to Recall 2.26 Million Vehicles in U.S. and China
Honda announced Friday morning it will recall 2.26 million vehicles in the United States and China due to a transmission problem.
Honda Recalling Nearly 700,000 Vehicles
Again? Seriously, what is going on with all these car recalls? This time it’s Honda. 700,000 Fit, Freed and City compact cars are being recalled due to a defective spring part that may cause engine stalling. Luckily no accidents have been reported due to this, but at least 100 complaints were filed in Japan and abroad according to Honda Motor Co. spokesman Tomohiro Okada.
Toyota to Recall 1.7 Vehicles Globally
Toyota Motor Corp said it was recalling more than 1.7 million vehicles worldwide. More than 12 million Toyota vehicles have been recalled since 2009. 1.34 million of the recalled vehicles have been recalled due to a faulty fuel pump and connecting pipe outside the U.S in the Japanese market. Among those recalled arethe Noah minivan and Avensis units.
GM Recalls 100,000 Vehicles
There is still time to squeeze in one more car recall before 2010 comes to an end. It’s GM, who is warning (posted on the National Highway Traffic Safety Admin site) that airbags in some Cadillac models may not deploy in a crash, leading to potential risk of injury if there is a crash.
