Mini S’Mores Recalled Due To Possible Peanut Presence

Nassau Candy Distributors has issued a nationwide recall of their Nancy Adams Classics Mini S’mores because they could contain peanuts not listed on the label, reported the Food and Drug Administration

The voluntary recall came after the company received a report that a box bought in a retail location contained the undeclared peanuts. Subsequent investigation showed that some bags of peanut clusters may have been inadvertently packed into boxes of the Nancy Adams Classic S‘Mores. This could cause a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if a person with peanut allergies consumed the product.

The Nancy Adams Classic Mini S’Mores were sold nationwide in a red and silver box with a manufacturing code of either I1119 or I1120.  All of the retail stores have been notified, and the affected product is being removed from the shelves and discarded.

Consumers who have questions about the recall may call 1-516-433-7100, extension 7297 or 7287 for more information.
