Brooke Burke’s DWTS Look – Season 14, Episode 2

Marylin Lee is part of Brooke Burke’s Glam Squad – the team responsible for taking her from “mom” to “fab” every week on Dancing with the Stars. Here are some of her expert beauty tips on how you can get Brooke’s look:

Brooke picked out this yellow gown with her stylist Justin last week. Yellow is a great color on TV, and I immediately knew I wanted to have a bright lip. Brights are still in fashion this spring, and we always love an opportunity to play with color.

Along with Steven Lake’s modernized Veronica Lake hairstyle, Brooke’s look was fresh and glamorous!

The eye makeup looks simple, but it took a bit to get the eyeliner just right. Using MAC BlackTrack gel liner, the line is very thin on the inner side of the eye and thick on the outer.

I extended it further than Brooke’s eye, then smudged it with black shadow, so the line is softened a bit. Check your work and the shape of the liner by opening your eye and seeing where that liner is laying. Make adjustments while eye is open.

For more of a dramatic cat eye look, add a half-lash to the outer half of eye. This is a shorter strip lash. Or cut a full strip lash in half to make a half-lash.

Eyeshadow

Expert Tip: For lasting lips, use that lipliner to to fill in the lip. This also acts as a primer, giving lipstick or gloss something to adhere to.  Clean up outer edge of lips using pointed cotton swabs such as Qtips Precision Tips dipped in a little foundation or concealer.
