The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a recall of “Play With Your Veggies” toys. They were made by The Land of Nod of Illinois. The metal wire in the toy asparagus is exposed, posing a laceration hazard to kids.
Land of Nod vegetables are made of felt wool. The toy set has six vegetables: radish, onion, asparagus, tomato, lettuce and carrot.
You should take the asparagus away from your little one immediately. Contact the Land of Nod for a replacement (800) 933-9904.
In the meantime, maybe you can get your child to eat some real asparagus. It's a long shot, we know…
