Makeup & Hair Tips

Like many women today, you may not have enough time in your daily routing to spend countless hours on your makeup and hair. Work, caring for your family and performing various other responsibilities may leave little time for primping. Although you may not have a great deal of time to spend in front of the mirror, you can still look your best by including some basic hair and makeup techniques. Creating and maintaining an attractive appearance does not require lots of time or money.

Even Skin Tone

Facial flaws and blemishes can deter from your appearance. Camouflage sallow spots and red areas with a touch of concealer. Dot a liquid concealer over the discolored area and tap in gently with the tip of your finger, blending with the surrounding skin. Apply a few strokes of mineral powder over your entire face to even out your skin tone. Use a powder that contains sunscreen to provide protection from the damaging rays of the sun.

Rosy Glow

Help your lipstick learn to multi-task. Warm the tip of your lipstick with a warm blast from your hair dryer. Apply the softened lipstick over your lips to lock the color in place. Apply a little bit of the pink color to your eyelids and cheeks to achieve a rosy glow across your face. Gently blend the lip color in with the tip of your ring finger.

Shiny Hair

Keep your crowning beauty looking its best. Apply a small amount of glossing cream to your clean, damp hair. Massage the product evenly throughout your hair and allow to your hair to air dry or use your hair dryer. Glossy, gleaming hair can provide a touch of youth and vitality to your appearance.

Restrain Your Locks

Although your youthful pigtails and ponytails may be outdated, pulling your hair back in an attractive manner can provide a quick style that gives you a polished appearance. Dress up your ponytail by wrapping a section of hair over the exposed elastic band. Select a small section from beneath your ponytail, and apply a dab of styling cream to hold the strands together. Wrap the section around the outside of your hair band and tuck the tips into the band to hold in place.
