Alanis Morissette was completely surprised to find out she was pregnant – a pleasant surprise, of course!
The 36-year-old Canadian singer was delighted to find out that she is expecting after just a few months of marriage to rapper Mario “Souleye” Treadway.
“I had just sort of said in passing [to my doctor] that I was a little late … And he said, ‘Let’s take a quick look,’” Alanis tells E!’s Chelsea Handler on ‘Chelsea Lately’ Wednesday night.
While she was surprised when the doctor came in telling her she should get ready for a baby, she was also “very happy” about the news.
