Hot Chocolate Pots Recalled

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Comission announced a voluntary recall of Williams-Sonoma Hot Chocolate Pots.

The handle of the Hot Chocolate Pot can break off while using the product causing potential for burn and laceration hazards. So far, there have been eight reports of injuries involving minor burns or cuts of the 28 reports of the handles breaking off the pot.

The product is named “Whirly Whip hot chocolate pots”. For pots that are sold individually, the item number is 2981454 or 4986535. For pots sold as part of a gift set item, the number is 3021714. The item number can be found on the box in which the pot came in, and is below the bar code.

All product owners should stop using the pot immediately and return the pot to any Williams-Sonoma Store or contact the company for further inquiry about how to return the product for a full refund.
