Chevy Cruze Recalled for Steering Wheel Problem

General Motors is recalling certain 2011 models of their Chevrolet Cruze following a startling incident last month in which a steering wheel detached from the steering column while the car was moving.

The driver was not hurt, and GM believes it was an isolated incident.

GM says Cruze owners can take their vehicles to a dealer for a free safety inspection to make sure the steering wheel is properly fastened.
