Could it be true? Aerosmith without lead singer Steven Tyler? Rumor has it that Tyler may depart from the band with its 40th year anniversary in the near future.
Why? It seems Tyler reportedly wants to focus on a solo career. He told Classic Rock magazine that although he’s not sure of his next plans, they will be “something Steven Tyler, working on the brand of myself – Brand Tyler.”
The magazine also reported that Aerosmith is going to meet with Tyler to discuss replacing him or taking a hiatus. Guitarist Brad Whitford said that it would be difficult, “but, if somebody was willing to do it and the chemistry was right, why not?”
