Rugby Children’s Pain & Fever Concentrated Drops Recalled

The U.S. Consumer Safety Product Commission announced a recall of Rugby Children’s Pain & Fever Concentrated Drops. About 898,000 units have been recalled due to a failure to meet the child-resistant closure requirement. 

The medicine contains acetaminophen, which requires child-resistant packaging by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act. The dropper for dispensing the drug does not have child-resistant packaging, which could pose a serious health risk to a child who accesses it. 

According to the CSPC, the medicine was sold at drug stores and grocery stores between January 2009 and June 2011 for about $4.
