Nicole Kidman Talks Women's Rights

Oscar-winner Nicole Kidman and Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Development Fund for Women AKA UNIFEM spoke in Washington, D.C., everyone was intrigued to hear her story, the rights of women are definitely in good hands. Kidman strongly believes in the power of the media and all the negativity it portrays especially towards women.

“I can’t be responsible for all of Hollywood but I can certainly be responsible for my own career,” said Kidman. Nicole has conquered demanding and respectful roles leading to a personal and professional victory…An Oscar.

While speaking on Capitol Hill to promote the International Violence Against Women Act Kidman goes on to say, “I am far from an expert, I rely on the people I’ve met to make the case,” she continued, adding that crimes like rape and domestic violence recognize “no borders, no race or class.” That is very disturbing to hear coming from the official inside source.

“In the real world, the laws go unenforced and impunity is the norm. We need the money.” Extra scary, huh?

Freedom of speech at its best! You go girl…Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
