Sarah Palin, the former vice-presidential contender, sat down with Barbara Walters, and said that she did not know her daughter was sexually active, so when 17-year old Bristol told her she was pregnant, she was “shocked.”
The interview with Walters will air on ABC’s Good Morning America on Tuesday. Palin said “Truthfully, we were devastated.”
Bristol gave birth to Tripp in December. She and the baby’s father, Levi Johnston split soon after the birth.
