Britney Spears Guest Stars on How I Met Your Mother Tonight

Since her mom and dad stepped in to do some damage control and turn around her havoc-filled life, Britney Spears’ existence has certainly taken a turn for the better. Tonight, the pop star and mother of two will appear on the television show “How I Met Your Mother.” During shooting, Britney said her experience working on the show was “terrific. . . Everyone, including the cast, the crew and the producers, [have] been wonderful. I’m having a blast!”

Acting isn’t new to Britney. She previously guest starred on “Will and Grace” and starred in the movie “Crossroads.” However, this role debuted a new Britney, say the people on the show’s set. Apart from her assistant, Brett, the singer was joined on set Wednesday by her father, Jamie, and mother, Lynne. “Her parents kept thanking everyone on set …saying this is just what their daughter needed,” a People magazine source says. A show source confirmed that the singer was “very sweet and cute and she chewed gum obsessively on set.” Even cast member Josh Radnor was impressed with Brit’s behavior. He joked that the singer “knew her lines better than I knew mine.”

People magazine reported over the weekend that at least six items of clothing from the pop star’s sitcom wardrobe will be auctioned off to benefit the Natural Resources Defense Council, according to the Associated Press. The garb up for auction includes a navy print Juicy Couture dress, a yellow Nannette Lepore dress and a cream Nannette Lepore cardigan with blue flower details, all worn by Britney during filming.
