Angelina Jolie has spent the past two decades publicly estranged from her actor father, Jon Voight.
Voight, who has appeared in dozens of movies including Pearl Harbor and National Treasure, has been apart from both his children, daughter Jolie and son James Haven due to family issues.
Haven told PEOPLE in 2007, “I don’t want to constantly berate my father – I wish him well, and I hope he finds peace – but he put my mom through years of mental abuse, and it made me care especially for abandoned women and children.”
It looks as though circumstances may have changed. PEOPLE reports that the Jolie-Pitts stepped out in Venice, Italy with Voight. Brad Pitt, Jolie, the couple’s children, and Voight went for a ride down Venice’s Grand Canal together.
PEOPLE reports that the famous father-daughter pair may have reconciled after many years.
