Two years after Victoria Beckham
and her family moved to sunny California, the mom of 3 boys is loving
life. “I love America, it’s such a positive country,” the 35-year-old
wife of soccer superstar David Beckham told Elle
magazine. Posh Spice said she’s had no problem adjusting to life in
America. “When people say to me, ‘How long did it take for you to
adjust? Poor
you, it must’ve been really difficult’ — poor me? I’m living in Beverly
Hills. I’m very, very lucky. I wake up every morning and I recognize
that I’m blessed.”
The Beckhams want to make sure their sons Cruz, 4 1/2, Romeo, 7, and Brooklyn, 10 1/2, to become productive members of society. “They’re not going to be the kind of kids that just hang about. I want
them to be able to fulfill their passions, but I think it’s important
that the children grow up and have respect for themselves,” Victoria said. Laziness will not be allowed in the Beckham home. She has told the kids that they “bloody well will work…Same as myself, same as David.”
Victoria
doesn’t take her children on the red carpet or bring the media to do in
home interviews. Even though her high style fashion sense often gets
her snapped by the paparazzi, she says that she’s not one who craves
the spotlight. When it comes to being in the spotlight Victoria says,
“I want to get in there, do what I’ve got to do, and get home to my
kids.”
In contrast to the prima donna image she’s been given by the tabloids, Victoria seems like a pretty down to earth mom! Way to keep things in perspective!
